About

We are a fellowship of Christians, a church, and a ministry in Teso, Malaba Town, 460 km west of Nairobi city, Kenya. We are located in Malaba Town, Busia road behind the Cereals board.   We are currently operating under the network of My Fathers House International {MFH} but with an independent vision and mission to this poverty stricken area of Kenya, Africa.  This fellowship ministers as salt and light to the Teso community. The Teso community is among the smallest tribes of Kenya bordering Uganda. The name Teso, to many means suffering, but this ministry is up to bring the opposite of this.

Inside this fellowship, people relate to one another and to God. Here people experience real acceptance, a welcome and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As God is worshiped in truth and spirit, they do learn and experience His real love through His word of their seasons. In this fellowship every one gets time and opportunity to participate and give his or her contribution to the ministry of men, women, the kids and as many ministries as God releases.

Religion in this region is mostly Christianity and Islam with a small number of pagans. Some in this community still believe in their old traditions, such as exhuming their dead after some time to avoid calamity in the lives of the living. Some believe that cleaning of grave yards and offering local brews to the graves please the dead whom they believe to have certain powers over the living.

Most marriages are polygamous. Most houses are made of mud and thatched with grass. Drunkenness is real in this region. Common diseases in this region are Malaria, Typhoid fever and now increasingly Aids. Malaba is a border town with many travelers passing by and increasing prostitution. Rain is throughout the year but soil fertility is poor. Sand harvesting is a common economic activity due to many streams passing through this region. Most fish found in this region have no market value.

OUR VISION

Women Leader Philis Etyang

Women Leader Philis Etyang

To be increasing fellowships of people built up together with meaningful relationship and friendship, well knowing and appreciating one another.  Being committed to stand, to support and help one another and to become involved in the lives of others through thankfulness as we allow God’s covenantal love to flow freely to His people through us.

CORE BELIEFS

We believe in the high view of God the Almighty, His glorification and His worship as the great I AM.  We believe in Jesus as the Savior of the world and His salvation. We believe in the Holy Spirit as our helper, teacher and much more. The absolute authority of the scripture [bible] is our sound doctrine. We believe in both personal and collective holiness. We believe in spiritual authority, leadership and governance, the baptism of the saints, the ministry of servanthood, resurrection of the dead and the judgment thereafter.

We believe in cooperation of efforts, willingness of networking and the submitting of what people have as causing success in our living and ministries. We believe that everyone’s decisions and actions can greatly impact other people’s lives and believe that God has a specific calling for each one and can use anyone to affect another.
